Garden camping at Frosch / Swimming pond

A pitch between fields and a wildflower meadow in Schwaförden, right on the swimming pond. If you fancy it, you can lounge on one of the garden chairs by the water and listen to the frogs. There's electricity available. Beyond that, there's not much entertainment. The Erdmann-Radweg leads from the pitch into the forest and across the countryside. The small village market is two kilometers away, where you can get fresh rolls in the morning. You'll roll around 41 kilometers to Bremen with its St. Petri Dom, and the Weser-Radweg along the Mittelweser is within reach.1

Sights in the area1

Bremen

The Hanseatic city lies about 41 kilometres north, with St Peter's Cathedral and the old town along the Weser; a good rainy-day trip.

Steinhuder Meer

Lower Saxony's largest lake, good for cycling and swimming; the regional day-out for when the swimming pond feels too small.

Weser Cycle Path

The long-distance route follows the Weser downstream; from Nienburg you can ride a flat day stage without any real climbs.
