Festival site on the edge of the forest in beautiful nature
At the forest edge near Schwarmstedt, with views across woods and fields. The farmstead sits in the midst of forest and countryside, a remnant farm that doubles as a festival ground and was once a small zoo. The zoo closed down in the eighties. The grounds remained. Every August, a festival takes place here. Toilets and showers are fifty meters away, grilling happens in a covered pavilion. An old playground is also part of the property. If you'd like, you can get one of the secluded pitches further back. It's around 32 kilometers to Hannover, and Steinhuder Meer makes for a nice day trip.1
What VanSite writes
„Our pitches are located on the edge of the forest with a view of the forest and fields. The farm site in the middle of the forest and meadow is a unique combination of Resthof festival site and a former home zoo.“

Sights in the area1
Steinhuder Meer
The largest lake in north-west Germany, shallow and often windy. Excursion boats leave from the shore; a day for cycling the bay and fish at the jetty.
New Town Hall Hannover
The tilted lift rises into the dome, with the Maschpark spread out below. About 32 kilometres away, the bad-weather pick for a day in the city.
Weser cycle path near Nienburg
Flat along the river, barely a climb. From Nienburg it makes a good day's stage when your legs want moving after the forest site.
