Farm Meadow

A meadow close to the farmhouse in Geestland, the pitch stands right next to the enclosure with chickens and pigs. In the morning there's clucking and grunting across the farm, then everyday life continues between the barn and pasture. The host reveals little more: meadow, animals, a place to park. It's a good fifty kilometres to Bremen, with the Bremen Town Musicians and the narrow Schnoorviertel. Those who stay have the farm operation with all its livestock right in front of their motorhome.1

Sights in the area1

Bremen Town Musicians

The four stacked animals from the Grimm fairy tale, cast in bronze on the west side of the town hall; grab the donkey's legs for luck — the obligatory stop in the old town.

Schnoor Quarter

Bremen's oldest district, a tangle of narrow lanes with houses from the 15th century; the place for a stroll when the rain sets in.

St. Petri Cathedral

The cathedral is over a thousand years old and stands in the middle of the old town; climb the tower steps for a view over the Weser and Bremen's rooftops — the lookout for clear days.
