The meadow can only be driven on in dry weather; on the hill you have solid ground even after rain. It's about five kilometers to Hattingen's old town, to Kemnader See, and to the Ruhrtalradweg. In the evening it becomes peaceful among the trees. There's also a holiday apartment available if the tent gets too cramped.1

Half-timbered lanes around the old market square, plus remnants of the town wall. A short stroll for when the weather is too wet for the meadow.
