Caravan & Motorhome Pitch in Simmern
A field near Simmern, peacefully situated with wide views across the area. The owner welcomes guests warmly — the field has little more to offer than space. After rain, the ground becomes soft; those without four-wheel drive get stuck quickly. There's still the occasional bit of livestock debris in the grass. But it's peaceful in the evenings. It's about eight kilometres to Koblenz and the Deutsches Eck along the Rhine.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„The owner is very nice, however you're standing in a field. Due to the rain it was very wet, without all-wheel drive we wouldn't have had a chance of driving on the field.
The location is very quiet, the view really is very beautiful.“

Sights in the area1
Deutsches Eck
The headland in Koblenz where the Moselle meets the Rhine, crowned by the equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm. A short detour that pairs well with a stroll through the old town.
Rhine Cycle Route
The long-distance route follows the river for hundreds of kilometres. From Koblenz it runs flat along the water, good for a day trip without any climbing.
Thurant Castle
The twin-towered castle above Alken on the Moselle, well preserved and still lived in. From the towers the view runs far up the valley, a rewarding stop in dry weather.
Lahn Valley
The Lahn valley south of Koblenz, with a riverside cycle path and half-timbered towns. The quiet counterpart to the busy Rhine bank when the river gets too crowded.
