The largest raised bog in the Lüneburg Heath, crossed by a wooden boardwalk. In spring the cotton grass turns white, in autumn the bog grass rusts red.
Totengrund
A bowl-shaped heath valley near Wilsede, reached only on foot or by carriage. In late August the whole basin turns purple, the classic for the heath bloom.
Allersee
Bathing lake on the edge of Wolfsburg, around 68 km away. Sandy beach, loop path and pedal boats, the trip for a hot afternoon.
