The "Weitblick" site is peacefully situated in Bucha in the Saale-Orla district, in the heart of the land of a thousand ponds on the edge of the Frankenwald. A short footpath leads you to the site's own viewpoint with views across the landscape, ideal for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. From here you can set out on hikes and cycling tours, for example to Festung Rosenberg or the Burgruine Nordeck ruins. It is around 33 kilometres to Jena with the Jenzig and the Lobdeburgruine ruins.
