Camping Wieratal
Three pitches in a garden plot in Nobitz, right by the pond. If you want to escape the daily grind, this is the place for you: field paths all around, little traffic, morning silence over the water. In the evening a campfire until the day winds down. Grilling is also on the menu. The Wieratal is great for cycling, with the Schömbach dam as a destination. It's just a few minutes' drive to Waldenburg, the old pottery town; from there you can paddle down the Zwickauer Mulde. Motorhomes up to 3.5 tonnes are welcome on the meadow.1

Sights in the area1
Waldenburg Pottery Town
The historic pottery town in the Mulde valley, a few minutes' drive from the site; wander the old lanes and watch the craft at work, an easy afternoon.
Schömbach Reservoir
A reservoir within reach of the Wiera valley, a favourite goal for a bike ride along the quiet field tracks around here; water and woods for half a day.
Zwickauer Mulde River
The river runs slow enough to paddle; a canoe trip on the Zwickauer Mulde drifts through woods and meadows, good for a long summer day.
Grünfelder Park
A sprawling landscape park near Waldenburg with old trees and ponds; the walk is worth adding on if you're already in the pottery town.
