Camping Site at Möhnesee

A pitch in Körbecke, less than five hundred metres from Möhnesee. The ground is reinforced grass, with a meadow in front that you're welcome to use. In the morning, it smells of wet grass from the shore. Dogs are allowed, though barkers are not ideal. The short walk to the water is perfect for swimming or surfing, and the field paths behind the village stretch far and wide. Shopping and eating are within walking distance. Larger campervans struggle here: the limit is 7.50 metres.1

Sights in the area1

Möhnesee

The large reservoir on the northern edge of the Sauerland, with a shore path, sailing boats and swimming spots. The place to go on warm days when the pitch feels small.

Kahler Asten

At 841 metres one of the highest hills in North Rhine-Westphalia; from the Astenturm the view stretches far across the Sauerland on a clear day. A full day out.

Hamm

The nearest bigger town, around 27 km away. The beer garden at Erlensee and the Herrnsheim palace park fill an afternoon away from the lake.
