Camping on the edge of the reservoir
A parking area for motorhomes and caravans in Groß Oßnig, a district of Neuhausen/Spree. The site is located directly on the cycling path that leads to the reservoir between Spremberg and Cottbus; swimming is popular here in summer. It's not far to the Kutzeburger Mühle, and you can also reach the city centers of Cottbus and Spremberg by bike. Sportpark Gallinchen is along the route. In the morning the path is quiet. It's only in the afternoon that day-trippers come to the water.1

Reservoir between Spremberg and Cottbus
The reservoir sits at the end of the bike path. In summer there are swimming spots along the shore, and a flat trail runs around it for an easy loop by bike.
Branitz Park in Cottbus
In Cottbus lies Branitz Park, laid out by Prince Pückler as a landscape garden. His grassed-over earth pyramid stands in the middle of a lake — a walk for any weather.
Spreewald
To the northwest the Spreewald begins, with its web of small waterways. From a punt you glide past alders and cucumber farms; a whole day passes quickly.
