A pitch on the Hohe Geba above Rhönblick, at 751 meters. The Rhön bears the Starry Sky Reserve seal, and once darkness falls, you understand why: above the five observation platforms, the sky is densely packed with stars, and on some evenings, someone guides you through them. During the day, the view extends from the Hohe Rhön to the Rennsteig in the Thuringian Forest. The site is exclusively for self-sufficient campers. No water, no toilet. Power is available at the platforms. The Bergstübchen opens during the season.1
