Camping at the Pony Farm
A pitch at a riding farm in Ebersbach-Musbach, in the heart of Upper Swabia. Electricity is available, the toilet is just a few steps away, and so is the horse stable. In summer you'll wake up to the morning sun and birdsong. If you fancy it, you can sign up for a riding lesson or go out on a ride; the horses and ponies are sure-footed, in all sizes. The petting zoo is where the kids spend most of their time anyway. Wildlife can be spotted here year-round. Ulm is 56 kilometres away. In the evening: the smell of the stable and silence.1

The nearest larger city, 56 kilometres away. The minster with its tall spire and the crooked houses of the Fischerviertel fill a day out without much planning.
Blautopf in Blaubeuren
The blue-green karst spring at the edge of the Swabian Alb, with the old monastery building right beside it. Short walk from the car park, works with tired children too.
Federsee near Bad Buchau
Moorland with a boardwalk running straight through the reeds. Cranes and warblers can be heard from the walkway without getting your feet wet.
Unteruhldingen Pile Dwelling Museum
Reconstructed Stone and Bronze Age villages on stilts in Lake Constance, a fair way further south. Roofed sections make it a target for rainy afternoons.
