The hunting lodge was originally built as the hunting seat of the Dukes of Saxony Meiningen and served the hunters with its adjacent intact mixed forests. Today it is a meeting place for hikers and nature lovers alike; an ideal opportunity to observe fallow deer or simply enjoy all that nature has to offer in this tranquil setting. Visitors can also take advantage of the nearby hiking trails through our forest before enjoying delicious regional dishes in one of our three restaurants - including our open-air terrace overlooking the breathtaking landscape!¹
