Engelschoff

Campground between Hamburg & Cuxhaven under trees

An ecologically managed farmstead near Engelschoff, between Oste and Elbe. The camping pitches are located beneath trees, and you choose your own sunny or shady spot. Free-roaming chickens are part of the farm, along with horses and sheep. In the evening, wood burns in one of two fire bowls. Later, the starry sky. Cooking happens in the container, showering outdoors with hot water. Children don't come here – the farmstead isn't set up for them. Hamburg is around 51 kilometers away, and the train station in Himmelpforten is seven kilometers away.1

Hamburg's inner lake right in the city, ringed by a shoreside path for runners and sailors. About 51 kilometres away, the town day between two farm days.

Cuxhaven

Swimming and surfing beach on the North Sea, where the Elbe meets the open water. The train from Himmelpforten takes about an hour, the trip for wind and mudflats.
