Camping on the four-sided farmstead
A four-sided farmyard near Wesendahl, north of Berlin, which Thomas and Franzi are still renovating. The sleeping area is right in the middle of the courtyard, where their horses and cats also live; in the mornings, the animals are the first to wake up. Little is finished here. You can see that work is being done. In exchange, you can help care for the animals and harvest what's ripe in the garden. Next door there's a riding stable; in the village there are two farm shops with regional fruit. For hiking, there's a forest with two lakes, and Altlandsberg and Berlin are not far away.1
What Hinterland writes
„Wesendahl is a village located north of Berlin. It is known for its apples and pick-your-own offerings (strawberries, plums, apples and much more).
You can camp here on our four-sided farmyard, which we are currently renovating, and enjoy the peace and quiet.“

Sights in the area1
Altlandsberg
Historic little market town with a town wall and manor estate; a stroll through the old centre is worth it even on a grey afternoon.
Berlin
Some 29 kilometres to the west the capital begins; from the Brandenburg Gate to the Wall cycle path along the Teltow Canal, one day is barely enough.
Müggelsee
Berlin's largest lake in the south-east, closer than the Havel lakes; swimming spots and a shore path make it a destination for hot days.
