Hammelburg

Organic winery at Saaleck Castle

A gravel plateau at the Weinkeller, above Hammelburg. Power is available, you can use the toilets at the Keller, and the small wine shop is open around the clock. Those traveling off-grid are also welcome to park between the vines. From the tower of the castle, the view falls into the Saaletal valley, with vineyards beginning 250 meters further on. A wine education trail runs 5.8 kilometers through old vineyard sites. Paddling is possible on the Fränkische Saale. Würzburg is 37 kilometers further away.1

What Hinterland writes

„You'll be staying on our new paved plateau (gravel) in close proximity to the wine cellar, where you'll also find electricity. You can use our toilets at the wine cellar.
If you're self-sufficient, you're welcome to park in our vineyards as well.“
