Biesenthal

Berlin time out

Our own plot of land at the edge of the forest in Biesenthal, with a large meadow right next door. The well provides water, but it's not drinkable. If you stay here, you're self-sufficient and shop in town. There's no luxury, which is why the price is low. It's eight hundred meters to Dewinsee, the path goes through the forest. In the evening, the sound of the treetops lingers from the day. It's really quiet here. Berlin is 31 kilometers away, as are Drachenberg and the Mauerradweg cycle route along the Teltowkanal.1

What roadsurfer spots writes

„Hey folks,

I rent out my independent property to campers and nature enthusiasts.
There is a well on the property, but no drinking water.
Supermarkets are in town, everything is very, very quiet, situated directly next to the forest and a large meadow.“

Sights in the area1

Drachenberg

A man-made hill in western Berlin with a view across half the city. The climb takes less than half an hour and pays off at sunset.

Berlin Wall Trail along the Teltow Canal

The cycle path follows the former border line beside the water. Flat and easy going, with information boards where the wall once stood.

Müggelsee

Berlin's largest lake, out in the east, with a lido and wooded shores. The fallback for days when the nearer swimming spots get crowded.

Sanssouci Palace and Park

The Prussian summer residence in Potsdam, with vine terraces and a sprawling park. The classic outing for a day when the weather turns.
