At the willow in the country idyll near Bremen

The garden of Hullener Hof near Delmenhorst, on a meadow at the edge of a settlement. Where campers stand today, cows were milked directly in the pasture in the past. In the mornings, deer roam across the fields. In the evenings, bats. From Heidkrug train station, less than two kilometres away, the S-Bahn reaches Bremen in five minutes. Toilet, shower and electricity are available by arrangement for a small contribution. You sit by the fire until the starry sky appears above the meadow.1

Sights in the area1

Bremen Market Square

The town hall and the stone Roland statue are a UNESCO site on the square, a good seven kilometres away; the must-see for a first day in Bremen.

Schnoor Quarter

Bremen's oldest quarter, with narrow lanes and low fishermen's houses; a place to wander dry from corner to corner even in the rain.

Bremen Town Musicians

The bronze figures on the side of the town hall. Grasp the donkey's front legs and you are said to return; quickly seen in passing.
