At the forest near the Oste
On the edge of Seedorf, in the hosts' large garden, the parking space is tucked away around the corner, barely visible from the house. Currently only accessible by four-wheel drive. Less than fifty meters away, the Oste flows by, with a canoe launching spot and a meadow by the water. From here, the Philosophenweg leads along the Oste to the water mill near Eitzte. In Godenstedt you can find eggs from a farm stand and bio oil from the oil mill, and rolls arrive in the village on Sundays. Bremen is about forty kilometers away.1

Bremen Town Hall and Roland
The Gothic town hall on the market square and the stone Roland statue are UNESCO World Heritage; about 40 kilometres away, the trip for a rainy day.
Schnoor Quarter
Bremen's oldest quarter, a maze of narrow lanes lined with small timber-framed houses between the Weser and the cathedral; good for a stroll when the weather on the Oste turns.
The Oste River
The river drifts quietly through the countryside; from the launch by the site you can set off on a paddling trip, past meadows and the watermill at Eitzte.
