Kirchdorf an der Amper

AlpacaCamping 643

A meadow in Kirchdorf an der Amper, for tents, motorhomes and caravans. The host mows the grass before your arrival, then it's peaceful. There is one drawback: sometimes aircraft fly low over the site, but if you can live with that, you'll do well here. All around the Hallertau with its hop fields, and it's about 36 kilometers to Ingolstadt. You can cycle on the well-developed path from Walkersbach to Kemathen. In the evenings, there's mostly silence between aircraft overflights.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„A super quiet spot, the host even mowed the meadow before our arrival! We'd love to come back if the timing works out! (Just important to know: planes fly quite close by occasionally, but if that doesn't bother you, you're in the right place here)“

Sights in the area1

Ingolstadt

The old ducal town on the Danube, about 36 kilometres away. Narrow old-town lanes, the Neues Schloss and several museums; the region's rainy-day classic.

Hallertau

Around the site lies the largest continuous hop-growing area in the world. In late summer the vines stand shoulder-high on their wires, with quiet cycle paths between them.

Maria Hilf Pilgrimage Chapel

A small pilgrimage chapel in the Hallertau, a goal for many walkers. A short detour for afternoons when you don't want to go far.
