AlpacaCamping 5311
A meadow near Furth im Wald that slopes downhill across its entire length. If you park here, you'll be laying down boards and wedges and still leveling out. For one night it works. On wet grass, all-wheel drive helps when maneuvering; with front-wheel drive it gets sluggish. The host welcomes you personally and shows you the spot. Once your van is level, what remains is mainly the view. All around the Upper Palatinate Forest, where the Höllbach flows through the Waldnaabtal.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„The host is very friendly and welcomed us right away, showing us to our pitch. The pitch slopes quite significantly along its entire length. This means you really need to compensate for the slope. I was able to level out 20 cm using wooden boards and a wedge.“

The Drachensee reservoir right by Furth im Wald, with a path around the shore. A quick cool-down on hot days, easy to reach on foot or by bike.
