An old lookout tower on the Heuchelberg ridge above the vineyards. Climb the steps and, on a clear day, you overlook the Zabergäu valley down to the Neckar.
Lauffen am Neckar
A small town on a bend of the Neckar, birthplace of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin. Its old quarter with the Regiswindis church and castle island fits into an afternoon.
Heilbronn
The nearest larger town, about eleven kilometres along the Neckar. A wine town with a pedestrian zone and museums, the fallback for a rainy day or when supplies run low.
