AlpacaCamping 2249
A spot near Pastetten, east of Munich. Originally intended merely as an overnight stop for the final leg, it became more than that. Cattle graze across the meadows and repeatedly walk past the pitch. Hikers and cyclists use the path. It hardly bothers anyone. It's around 32 kilometers to the city, and the Isartrail follows the river all the way to Munich's center. In the evening, the lowing from the paddock lingers.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„Actually just meant as a last-minute solution for one night, the site turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The cattle kept walking past and were a real highlight. There are always walkers and cyclists passing by, but it doesn't bother us at all.“

Sights in the area1
Munich
The state capital lies about 32 kilometres to the west; the Olympiapark with its lake and tower fills a day, even when the weather turns.
Isartrail
The cycle path along the Isar runs through Munich and out into the surrounding country; flat and well built, good for a day in the saddle without a climb.
Erding
The nearby county town offers a compact old centre; its large thermal baths on the edge of town are the classic fallback when rain spoils the camping day.
