AlpacaCamping 207
A farm near Schneverdingen in the Lüneburger Heide, peacefully situated. The caravan stands on a meadow next to the cow pasture, and the ground holds firm even when wet. Views of greenery, otherwise little to disturb you. There's plenty for children to do, and you can get up close to the animals. On our arrival evening, a feeding round took us across the farm, followed by campfire bread. Wooden boardwalks lead into Pietzmoor, the heath's high moor. Evenings: just the cows next door.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„We were welcomed very warmly. We were able to park our caravan on a beautiful meadow next to a pasture. The meadow is easy to drive on and we had a wonderful view of nature. The farm is very peaceful.“

Sights in the area1
Pietzmoor
The largest bog in the Lüneburg Heath, right by Schneverdingen. Boardwalks lead you dry-footed into the middle of it, a walk for grey afternoons.
Im Totengrund
A wide, bowl-shaped heath valley, fully purple in August. Those who want the bloom come early, before the walkers arrive from Wilsede.
Brunsberg
A wooded rise in the heath; from the top the view reaches out over the open land. A short climb worth it at sunset.
Alster Lake, Hamburg
About 59 km away, the Alster sits in the middle of Hamburg. The path around the water is the city day when the heath gets too quiet.
