Kleinich

AlpacaCamping 195

A parking spot right next to the alpaca enclosure near Kleinich, up in the Hunsrück. You don't always have the meadow to yourself — two or three other campers can park alongside. On quiet days, though, it stays just you and the animals behind the fence. In the morning you can watch the alpacas grazing, otherwise it's peaceful and remote. It's clean. The farm shop wasn't staffed when someone stopped by; it's better to bring supplies with you. It's around 39 kilometers to Trier with its Roman trail.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„Really cool spot by the enclosure, though there are 2-3 Landvergnügen parking spaces here, so you might not be alone - but that wasn't the case for us and watching the alpacas was great.“

A waterfall in the narrow Baybach valley, whose hiking trail runs through the Hunsrück. Best after rainy days, when plenty of water pours over the ledges.
