Rehden

AlpacaCamping 1710

A meadow at the farm in Rehden, right next to the cow pasture. The air smells of hay and livestock from the barn; for children, the animals are just a few meters away. The farm sells vegetables, and you can almost pull the carrots straight from the ground yourself. Part of the area is sloped, which is where wedges come in handy. If there are only one or two campers, the level section is enough. For electricity, you'll need a long cable. From the farm, you're at the edge of Rehdener Geestmoor in five minutes.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„We really enjoyed the site. A lovely meadow right next to the pasture and just a few metres from the cowshed; the kids loved it. The farm also sells vegetables. We were able to buy fresh carrots, which was a nice bonus.“

Sights in the area1

Rehdener Geestmoor

The largest bog in the Diepholz moor lowlands, right behind the farm. In autumn thousands of cranes roost here; bring binoculars.

Steinhuder Meer

The biggest lake in northwestern Germany, with a shoreline path and sailing boats. A day trip for flat land and open water.

Osnabrück

The city of peace with its old town and museums, about 46 km away. The place to head when the weather ruins the outdoors.
