In Delmenhorst, a few kilometers west of Bremen. What the site has to offer, the host keeps to himself, so there's not much more to say here. All that's known is what guests report: a friendly welcome and two nights where silence stood out above all else. There are pitches for both tents and motorhomes. It's seven kilometers to Bremen: the Roland and Town Hall, behind them the narrow alleys of the Schnoor district. Evenings: no entertainment program.1

Bremen Town Hall and Roland
The Gothic town hall and the stone Roland statue in front of it are UNESCO World Heritage; Bremen's old town is seven kilometres away, the first stop on any visit.

Bremen's oldest quarter, half-timbered houses packed into lanes barely two metres wide. Sheltered enough to see out a rainy afternoon.
Lemwerder – Vegesack Ferry
The small Weser ferry crosses between Lemwerder and Bremen-Vegesack, a short passage that slots neatly into a bike tour along the river.
St Petri Cathedral
The twin-towered cathedral on Bremen's market square has stood here since the 11th century; from the top you look out over the Weser and half the city centre.
