Alone location in the nature with a view of the forest
The pitch is located at the end of a farm near Elbe, with views into the forest. It's peaceful here, with only the animals between the trees occasionally making sounds in the evening. The farm stands alone, just over a kilometre and a half beyond Oelber, where the castle and castle ruins are located. Salzgitter with its lake is about eight kilometres away. To the north, the Salzgitter ridge runs out, beyond it the lowlands, and to the south the Harz begins. Organic vegetables are available from the host. Otherwise: walks right at your doorstep.1

The Harz
The farm sits at the northern edge of the Harz; to the south the hills begin, with the Teufelsmauer near Blankenburg as a hiking goal.
Goslar
An old imperial town at the edge of the Harz, with half-timbered lanes and the Rammelsberg mine. A full day trip that holds up in the rain.
