The concert hall built on an old warehouse in the HafenCity; the viewing plaza is free to enter and looks out over the harbour and the Elbe. Hamburg is about 33 kilometres away.
Landungsbrücken & Old Elbe Tunnel
The harbour ferry piers on the Elbe; next to them the Old Elbe Tunnel runs under the river to Steinwerder. The public ferry replaces any paid harbour cruise.
Altes Land
Fruit-growing country south of the Elbe, marshland with dikes and timber-framed farmhouses. The orchards turn white in spring; flat cycling terrain all year, without a single climb.
