Campground in Essen
Hello travelers! I have a small but beautiful garden with a spotless lawn where you can play. In the backyard there is room for at least two people and one person can sleep there comfortably, thanks to my hammock that also serves as a swing or chair. The bathroom has hot water, so you can use it even if no one is home; electricity and Wi-Fi are also available here! This is the biggest part of your living space, except for sleeping, because we don't have any place in the house other than the kitchen table where I sometimes work.... If anything needs fixing, come see me - I've been fixing bikes all my life, having grown up next door, which means parking will never be a problem either1

Sights in the area1
Zollverein Colliery
The disused colliery in northern Essen is a World Heritage site; the Ruhr Museum in the old coal washing plant is the city rainy-day standby.
Lake Baldeney
The dammed Ruhr in southern Essen, with a shore path for cycling and walking. A loop by the water without really leaving the city.
Haltern Reservoir
A swimming lake on the northern edge of the Ruhr area, sandy shore and shallow water. A day trip for when the city gets too hot.
