Camping in the garden in the hinterland of Lake Constance
A large garden on the outskirts of Mühlhausen-Ehingen, opening out to a farm track at the back, with a view of the Mägdeberg volcanic cone. It's usually quiet here, only the occasional neighbor mowing. The tent is situated between the fire pit and the ornamental bird aviary; in the evenings it smells of smoke from the firewood, which is included in the price. Also available: an outdoor kitchen, a covered seating area, and a hammock. It's a ten-minute walk to the train station, from where trains run to Lake Constance every half hour. Dogs only by arrangement.1
What Hinterland writes
„We offer a tent pitch in our large garden (approx. 1500 m²) in the beautiful Hegau region with a view of the Mägdeberg volcano. Since the property is set back and borders a farm track, it's mostly quiet except for the occasional neighbor mowing their lawn.“

Sights in the area1
Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen
Reconstructed stilt houses on the Lake Constance shore, set on walkways out over the water. Shows how people lived here thousands of years ago; also works on a cooler day by the lake.
Stein am Rhein
A Swiss town where the Rhine leaves the Untersee. The old town is full of painted facades, and an afternoon is enough for the lanes.
Hohentwiel
The most striking of the Hegau volcanoes near Singen, with the ruin of an old fortress on top. From the cone the view stretches far across the land.
