AlpacaCamping 2439

A quiet pitch near Passau, where hardly anyone comes or goes during your stay. Balu, the farm dog, makes his rounds every day to check that everything is in order. The hosts remain friendly in the background. All around, the Bavarian Forest, its heights stretching northward. Passau itself lies at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers, not far away. Birdsong in the morning. Otherwise little in the way of activities.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„Very nice and peaceful pitch! Little turnover of campers during our stay. Balu, the hosts' "farm dog," stopped by every day to check if we were being good. :) Host very friendly and accommodating.“

Sights in the area1

Passau

The City of Three Rivers, where the Danube, Inn and Ilz meet. Narrow lanes below the cathedral, the Veste Oberhaus fortress above the old town. The stroll for a grey day.

Bavarian Forest National Park

Germany's oldest national park, wild woodland with a lynx enclosure and a treetop walkway. For those after forest quiet, long calm trails wait.

Rißloch Waterfall

One of Bavaria's taller waterfalls, deeper in the Bavarian Forest near Bodenmais. The upper walkway leads close to the roaring water, a spot for hot afternoons.
