AlpacaCamping 1571
A meadow near Klixbüll in North Frisia, with a view of the paddock next door. Trees are positioned so that even on hot days there's a bit of shade. Otherwise, the site keeps things simple: tents, motorhomes or caravans find their place here, nothing more is set in stone. Wind across flat countryside, plus the horses. It's not far to Niebüll, from where the car train crosses the Hindenburgdamm to Sylt. In the evening, what remains of the day is mainly the snorting from the paddock.1

Sights in the area1
Niebüll and the Sylt Shuttle
From Niebüll station the car train runs across the Hindenburg causeway to Westerland. The easy way onto the island when driving via Klanxbüll is no option.
Sylt
Dunes, the sheltered mudflat side, a west beach with real surf. Germany's best-known North Sea island sits at the end of the causeway, good for a day of wind and sand.
Wadden Sea National Park
Mudflats to the horizon at low tide, tidal channels and flocks of birds. A guided mudflat walk from the coast is the classic outing in any weather.
Dagebüll
Ferry harbour behind the dike, where boats cross to Föhr and Amrum. A day trip for when the mainland feels too small.
