AlpacaCamping 2385

A stopover site in Haiming, made for a brief stop while passing through. Alpacas graze in the pasture; even those who don't usually have much to do with animals find themselves lingering by the fence here. The hosts welcome you warmly, and that's all you need for one night. Munich is nearly a hundred kilometres away, enough for a day exploring the Olympiapark and the Isar. Closer by is Burghausen with its long castle overlooking the Salzach. Coffee in the morning, then onwards.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„We actually only stopped by because we were passing through. The pitch was great, the hosts were very friendly. And even as someone who isn't an alpaca fan, it was still exciting to see the animals. Can recommend.“

The sprawling grounds of the 1972 Games with their tented roof and viewing hill; just under a hundred kilometres away, the big-city day when you fancy some bustle.

Burghausen Castle

The long castle stretches along the bend of the Salzach; a walk through its courtyards and gates fills an afternoon, sheltered by old walls even in the rain.
