AlpacaCamping 65
A site near Geiselwind, on the edge of the Steigerwald. Horses stand right in front of the pitch, and in the morning you hear them snorting in the pasture. The reception is warm; the site reveals little more than that. Views across the fields, otherwise peace and quiet. It's something special for children, and anyone who needs a stop while passing through will find one here. It's about 38 kilometers to Würzburg, less to the Aurach valley. In the evening: the horses and not much else.1

Aurach Valley
The valley of the Aurach in the Steigerwald, with the old ford where the stream runs across the road. A short walk for the afternoon when the paddock gets too quiet.
Eberhard Trail
A marked hiking path across the wooded heights of the Steigerwald; it can be walked in stages and leads out of the open farmland.
Würzburg
The city on the Main, about 38 kilometres away. The Leonhard-Frank promenade takes you along the river into the old town — the trip for a grey day.
