Meadow by the Spring Pond
A meadow at the edge of town between Werl and Unna. The front is mowed, behind it everything is left to wildflowers and wildlife. A pond and a stream, fed from a spring you can wade through. In the morning the songbirds take over; the traffic from the nearby federal highway remains a distant hum. At night just the spring. In the garden hut there's electricity, water and a freshly cleaned toilet — the water runs unfiltered from the same spring. From the farm shop a few kilometers further, vegetables or eggs come on request. Bike tours lead through the Soester Börde.1
