Kirchhundem

OUR VERY OWN LITTLE NATURE PARADISE

A garden in Kirchhundem where you pick your own spot: under trees, in the meadow, between the vegetable beds. Motorhomes and camper vans stay parked on the gravel drive, with a view over the garden. Electricity and water cost a small daily fee per vehicle. There's not much more than that here. In the mornings, it smells of damp earth from the beds. Siegen is about 18 kilometres away, and up in the hills the Rothaarsteig trail runs through the Sauerland.1

Sights in the area1

Rothaarsteig

The ridge trail across the heights of the Rothaargebirge can be walked in day stages; with only an afternoon, take a section and turn back.

Siegen

About 18 kilometres away, with the Obere Schloss above the old town and Rubens paintings in the museum; the town day when the weather ruins the outdoors.

Kahler Asten

At 841 metres one of the highest peaks in North Rhine-Westphalia; from the platform at the Astenturm you look over half the Sauerland on a clear day.

Biggesee

Reservoir in the Olpe district with a shoreline path and excursion boats; the place for hot days when the garden runs out of shade.
