Edersee and its dam
Large reservoir in the Waldecker Land, some forty kilometres away. The massive dam wall and the water draw people to swim and paddle. A full day out.
Diemel Cycle Path
The trail along the river Diemel runs close to the site. Flat enough for easy stages, from the Sauerland down to the Weser. The saddle route right at the door.
