Albaching

Pitch 2 at Grundlweiher

A farm near Baumgarten, just over two kilometers southwest of Albaching. Two pitches are located by the Grundlweiher, which belongs to the Grundlhof. The farm is old. On the grounds stands a timber-frame barn from 1692, its dark wood smelling of many centuries. Elisabeth and Georg keep suckler cows and farm organically. There is no electricity, water or toilet – campers are self-sufficient. It is two kilometers to Albaching for shopping, and a bit further to Wasserburg am Inn with its old town. Not a place for parties.1

What Hinterland writes

„Important: The pitches have no electricity, water or sanitary facilities. Therefore, self-sufficient supply is necessary. Please do not use as a party spot!“

Sights in the area1

Wasserburg am Inn

The old town sits in a tight loop of the Inn, tightly packed townhouses with painted façades. An afternoon between lanes and river, and it works in the rain too.

Rosenheim

The district town lies about 35 km away, with arcades over the pedestrian zone and the Inn riverside. Handy for a bigger shop or a stroll.

Olympiapark Munich

The state capital some 42 km on. The park with its tent roof and lake fills a whole day, reachable by train without the parking hunt.
