Bad Alexandersbad

Orchard in the Fichtelgebirge near Luisenburg

A fruit tree orchard on the edge of Kleinwendern, Bavaria's first Archedorf, high up in the Fichtelgebirge near Bad Alexandersbad. A barn separates the site from the rest of the farm, beyond which it becomes peaceful. In the evening, the sun sinks behind the Kösseine, then the campfire burns. If you don't feel like cooking, you can have pizza delivered to your tent. It's only a short walk to the Wunsiedler Felsenlabyrinth and the Luisenburg open-air theatre. Mornings: fruit trees and silence.1

What Hinterland writes

„Our farm is located in the idyllic little village of Kleinwendern, which has made a name for itself far beyond our district as Bavaria's first Archvillage.“
