Marsh Hamburg Ochsenwerder

A meadow in the middle of the fields in southeast Hamburg near Ochsenwerder. Marshland all around. The nearest neighbors live a good six hundred meters away, and in the evening, the day lingers mainly in the chirping over the drainage ditches. The site is simple: around 1,200 square meters, electricity available, campfires and grills permitted. It's less than seven hundred meters to the bathing lake at Oortkaten harbor. If you fancy it, you can cycle along the bike paths all the way to HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie, a good thirteen kilometers over flat terrain.1

Altes Land

The large fruit-growing region west of the Elbe, flat and criss-crossed by dikes. During the spring blossom it is the classic goal for a long ride out of the city.

Elbinsel Kaltehofe

A former waterworks on an Elbe island, now a nature reserve with a museum and boardwalks across the old filter basins. A quiet afternoon by the water.
