In the orchard next to the tasting room
An orchard behind the tasting room in Egloffstein, level and easily accessible by car, and secluded. It's peaceful here. In the house you can taste brandies and liqueurs, plus an apple sparkling wine made using the champagne method; fresh wood-fired bread comes out of the oven every two weeks. Among the fruit trees, you're far away from traffic. All around is the Fränkische Schweiz with the Wiesenttal valley and Teufelshöhle near Pottenstein. It's 21 kilometers to Erlangen.1
