Krummennaab

Homecamping Oberpfalz Holiday with friends!

A spacious property with Birgit and Lenz in Krummennaab, right in the heart of the Upper Palatinate. Among old fruit trees, you'll find pitches with electricity and fresh water. Dogs are welcome. If you fancy it, explore the Steinwald in one of the vintage cars from the couple's workshop. In the evening, sit in front of the new hall watching the sunset and enjoy a campfire; in the lounge between workshop and hall, LEDs twinkle at night. Cinema, grilling kota, and sanitary facilities come with a small fee. It's a good eighty kilometers to Nuremberg.1

Sights in the area1

Steinwald

A wooded granite range with mossy rock outcrops and the lookout tower on the Platte. A quiet hiking area in the Upper Palatinate, good for a slow day without much of a plan.

Luisenburg Rock Labyrinth

Near Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge, a path winds through huge granite boulders. The local classic, manageable with kids too.

Weißmainfelsen

A granite crag on the Ochsenkopf in the Fichtelgebirge with a wide view over the uplands; the White Main rises nearby. A rewarding spot for a clear day.

Nuremberg

The old imperial city lies a good eighty kilometres away, with its castle and old town above the Pegnitz. The trip for a rainy day or when you want some culture.
