Functional Camper Spot at the Forest Edge
A parking spot at the forest edge above Kleinheubach, where the Odenwald begins. The view extends across the Großheubach vineyards to Kloster Engelberg. The Maintalradweg cycle path runs about three hundred metres below, and it's three kilometres to Miltenberg with its old town. The site is simple. A composting toilet, plus a solar shower that only provides hot water when the sun is shining. In the morning it smells of forest, in the evening above all there is silence.1

Sights in the area1
Miltenberg
Half-timbered old town on the Main, a good three kilometres downstream, watched over by the Mildenburg castle. The go-to trip when the weather at the pitch turns.
Engelberg Monastery
The Franciscan monastery high above Großheubach, in sight from the pitch and about twenty minutes away by bike. Wide views over the Main valley up top, the village wine taverns below.
Main Valley Cycle Path
The riverside path runs some three hundred metres below the pitch and follows the Main almost flat through the valley. Good for an easy afternoon in the saddle towards Miltenberg.
