Half-timbered farm with beautiful alpine view
A half-timbered farmhouse in the hinterland of Bad Wurzach, surrounded by meadows, forest and a few unspoiled lakes. Two kilometers to Haidgau, where a village shop stocks the essentials. After arranging with the host, you can make a fire at the fire pit – wood is available at the farm. Otherwise: peace and quiet between the fields. Bad Waldsee with its two lakes is nine kilometers further on, and the Wurzacher Ried begins at the edge of the spa town. In the mornings, mist hangs over the meadows before the first cyclists arrive.1

Sights in the area1
Wurzacher Ried
One of Central Europe's largest living raised bogs, right by Bad Wurzach. A boardwalk leads in with dry feet — a rewarding afternoon in almost any weather.
Bad Waldsee
A small spa town between the Stadtsee and Schlosssee lakes, nine kilometres away. The old town and a lakeside loop make for a quiet strolling day.
Breitachklamm
Further south in the Allgäu, the Breitach river cuts a deep gorge into the rock; the walkways along it are a day trip for the rain-proof. You'll need the car.
