Simply different: camping at the ErlebnisHof
An old churchyard high above the Saxon Muldental valley, near Lunzenau. At the ErlebnisHof zu Hohenkirchen, you park your camper under the ancient oak tree, next to the pool or on the play meadow. Four donkeys belong to the place, along with a colorful flock of chickens and three tomcats who visit between the tents. Mornings there are the chickens, otherwise it's quiet. The access road is narrow and slightly steep, no problem for vans up to six meters long. It's around eighteen kilometers to Chemnitz.1

Chemnitz
The nearest larger town, about eighteen kilometres away. Museums and a market square for the day when donkeys and chickens are no longer enough.
Rabenstein Castle
A small hilltop castle on the edge of Chemnitz, said to be one of the smallest castles in Saxony. A short trip that fills an afternoon.
Chemnitz Valley Cycle Path
The path follows the river through an old railway tunnel. A flat route that works well with children too.
