Camping Reles Mill

A site on the outskirts of Körperich, right next to the border with Luxembourg. The Gaybach runs through the middle of the grounds – in summer the children cool off in it. Two hectares of meadow with tourist pitches scattered about, a tent field and a few permanent campers. Hiking trails start directly at the site and lead into the Kammerwald, great for mountain biking too. Evenings: barbecue smoke drifting over the tents. Vianden with its robber baron castle is just across the border, and Trier is a good half hour away. Shopping happens in the village, just a few steps further on.1

Sights in the area1

Vianden

Just across the border in Luxembourg, the robber-knights' castle looms over the Our valley. The medieval town below is easily covered in an afternoon.

Trier

Germany's oldest city, about 33 km away, home to the Porta Nigra. The Römerpfad links the Roman monuments into a full-day walking route.

Wolfsschlucht

Narrow rock clefts and the Hindenburgtor arch belong to the Teufelsschlucht gorge in the southern Eifel. A shaded path through the stone that stays cool on hot days.
