Camping in the Orchard
An orchard meadow above Weinsheim, roughly three hundred meters beyond the winery, where the Ostweide transitions into the vineyards. The view extends over the village and the slopes of the Nahe. The winery is young, founded only in 2016. Things run correspondingly peacefully here. In the morning you stand among fruit trees and hear little besides the wind. It's around thirty-six kilometers to Mainz with its cathedral and Rhine waterfront. Those who come here come for the view.1
What Hinterland writes
„You spend your vacation in Weinsheim at the youngest winery of the Nahe Valley. Our winery exists only since 2016. We offer you space on our "Ostweide", about 350m behind our winery in the vineyards …“

Sights in the area1
Mainz
The state capital on the Rhine, about 36 km away, with its Romanesque cathedral and the Gutenberg Museum. The go-to day out when the meadow gets too quiet.
Burg Rheinstein
One of the rebuilt knights' castles high above the Rhine near Trechtingshausen; the terraces open a wide view down the valley. One for castle fans.
Ruine Hindenburgbrücke
Remains of the railway bridge destroyed in the war, its piers still rising from the Rhine between Bingen and Rüdesheim; a quiet stop on a trip along the river.
