An old accordion factory in Zwotental, a forty-soul village near Schöneck in the Vogtland. Guests have stayed here since 2018, and for two years now there have been four campers parked up on the meadow orchard, right next to the permaculture garden. Behind the pitches the forest begins, where the Wolfsbach stream runs through the valley. You rarely hear the small road in front. Booking is by request only, spontaneous arrivals are not possible. Seven meters vehicle length is the limit. A sauna hut and bathing barrel are available by arrangement. It's 64 kilometers to Chemnitz. Cats roam freely.1

Sights in the area1
Bleiloch Reservoir
Germany's largest reservoir by volume, dammed on the river Saale. Circular trails and excursion boats start at the dam wall; an afternoon passes there easily.
Höllental Gorge
A narrow rock gorge where the river Selbitz squeezes between Thuringia and Upper Franconia. The path along the water stays cool when it gets too hot to hike.
Chemnitz
About 64 kilometres away. The Chemnitz valley cycle path runs through an old railway tunnel, and Rabenstein Castle sits on the edge of town. The place for rainy days.
