The Alpencamping im Angesicht Herrlicher Bergwelt campsite is located on an alm at 1,800 meters elevation near Grosskirchheim, in the heart of the Berchtesgaden Alps. Fresh spring water, a small fish pond and a stone grill invite you to linger, and a campfire warms the evenings. Hikes to the Schneibstein and the Carl von Stahl-Haus are just as close by in the region as the Gollinger Wasserfall. The drive up the gravel road is passable without all-wheel drive, though you should bring some driving skills. Once you arrive at the top, you'll be rewarded with a sweeping view across the mountain landscape.¹
